Distractions?

So many ancient mystical schools label the material world as a "distraction", guiding the student not engage and be detached from it.  

Well, the 'material world' is only a distraction until you see it as a divine expression! 

In fact, it probably never was a distraction, it was the means to your awakening for life is the divine being unfolding and evolving through all! 

La ilāha Illa la Hu! There is no reality and nothing exists but God!

Prayer & Praise

Prayer is calling the divine for help and blessings,

Praise is thanking her for it!

Prayer does give guidance and open doors: 

But you must Listen and Watch 

for the Guidance, and 

Walk through the doors!

You are the Answer

Have you ever stopped to think 

that maybe 

you are the answer to your prayers!

Another form of Joy

The spirit of true service is Joy!

It is not satisfaction, it is not pain, it is not suffering. 

To find the joy in service you must serve how YOU are meant to serve:

Not how someone else serves, nor how someone else expects you to serve.

To find your way of serving 

ask your heart!

Joy in Service

In the end, after you have awakened to the inherent unity of creation,

Seeing others as yourself, and yourself in others,

You will find there is nothing left you want to do but be of Service.

What a joy to awaken each day and breathe to yourself the words: 

"Show me how I may be of service today."

Get Exhausted!

Your seeking will eventually exhaust itself and surrender.

In surrender, personal will fails and

The heart becomes an open door to an empty house

Wherein the beloved, finding her lost lover,

immediately enters - filling it with love.

In these moments when seeker falls absent to seeking,

That which was sought

finds thee who was seeking,

as Love, Lover and Beloved become one.

Your heart is greater

Judge not,

Condemn not,

Criticize not,

Hate not,

Invite not such demons into your life,

your heart is much greater than these!

Present to Presence

If we become present

To Presence;

Presence becomes present

to Us.

These phrases flow from the following Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

Oh, Allah, show me things as they are in their reality.

(Allahumma arana haqaiq al ashya kama). This is a hadith or personal supplication of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is the prayer uttered by all the advanced ones on the Path of Return to Allah, through which they seek to realize the ultimate meaning of things. And this meaning, this inner reality is the Name 'Allah'.

Hu means the intimate connection with the Divine Presence that can be found within every human being. 

Do Not Be A Fool of Knowledge

Awakening to the peace, joy, wisdom, unity and compassion of the "True-Self", have nothing to do with what a person "knows".

No amount of esoteric, astrological, spiritual, religious or metaphysical knowledge can awaken consciousness to its True-Self; A person can have all the knowledge and expertise in the world, and still be "self-full" and "selfish" - while a person who is selfless, may have little intellectual knowledge, and yet be full of Wisdom and deeply awakened.

Awakening only occurs through EXPERIENCE, not Intellectualization - Heart not Mind.

The experience of Awakening is more about becoming emptier of “i-me-mine”, and fuller of Love, Harmony and Unity; rather than fuller of “i-me-mine”, and emptier of Love, Harmony and Beauty.

Awakening emerges after the experience of having limited beliefs and self-centered perspectives shattered or broken-which will happen over and over. So do not despair long over being heart-broken, for only through that shattering will you know the next steps in the way of your awakening. 

In awakening we find the happiness, joy, love, contentment, wholeness and freedom that is hidden in the heart, and is not dependent upon the external circumstances of our lives.

You cannot, not awaken! You can choose whether or not to participate in it… like you’re flowing downstream in the great river of life, you can choose to guide your boat or not, and you are going to reach the ocean of true being - but with two very different experiences!

There IS something Divine within all of us to awaken to as we flow toward the ocean of reality. We do come from a perfect place, are bound for a perfect goal, and the light of the perfect being is hidden in our soul.

 Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is near to the broken hearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

"So God the exalted will not be with you unless all your desires and your will are smashed... In this way, He will go on creating new wills in you, and on ‘your-self’ being found in it, He will smash it every time, till at last the destiny reaches its end and the meeting (with your True Self) takes place. And this is the meaning of the Divine words: “I am with those who are broken-hearted on My account.” - (Abdl Qadr Gilanai, Futuh al-Ghaib, 6th Discourse)

A Garden of Life

A Garden of Life

A little Earth to plant our feet and sow our seeds. 

A little water to quench our thirst and wash our aura. 

A little Sun to lift our heart and brighten our day. 

A little Air to fly our soul and soar free. 

A little Ether to give us peace and help us sleep.

Losing Self Importance is not so Bad

When the Sense 

of your own radiant self-importance

Falls away, at first you feel lost and empty,

while veils of blindness are lifted.

Then you begin to see clearly,

the hidden treasure behind the dance of 

attraction and aversion.

You have not seen the likes of this treasure before.

You don't have to seek it, 

Relax, breathe slowly, 

Be still.

It will come to you,

of its own accord,

You will know it when it arrives.

No Death Here

When the veil of perception 

between inner and outer 

Melts away,

There is no death here,

Only the ever living and the eternal!

Always in Relationship with Ourself

As your consciousness 

becomes aware of its inherent Oneness

with all Life.

Your heart awakens to a world where everything 

is a continuous living relationship 

with itself.

Imbued with this Unified perception 

Love, compassion, tolerance, respect and courtesy 

flow naturally.

The barriers between 'self and other' 

become a thin veil

we can see through. 

 

When barriers of 'Self' fall away

When the barriers of "self" fall away

Inner and outer worlds dissolve.

There arises a Unified perception

Where all is Consciousness 

and Conscious.

  

"Inner and outer" become a living continuum 

Where imminence and transcendence mingle as One.

Where the One knows itself as many,

and the Many knows itself as One.
